1. Introduction

This privacy policy (the “Policy”) applies to WhatsGoodApps LLC (“WhatsGoodApps,” “We,” “Us,” or “Our”), developer of the GetQR Ai app (the “App,” “Service,” or “Services”).

As used in this Policy, “Personal Data” means any information that relates to, describes, or could be used to identify an individual, directly or indirectly.

Definitions: Throughout this Policy, “You” or “Your” means the individual accessing or using the Service, or the company or other legal entity on behalf of which such individual is accessing or using the Service, as applicable. “Company” refers to WhatsGoodApps LLC. “Usage Data” refers to data collected automatically, either generated by use of the Service or from the Service infrastructure itself. “User Content” means information, materials, links, images, prompts, contact details, QR code settings, and other content You submit, upload, enter, create, or generate through the Services. “Scanner” means an individual who scans, opens, clicks, or otherwise interacts with a QR code, QR-related link, tracking link, redirect link, or other destination generated or managed through the Services.

When You make purchases, We use third-party payment processors to collect credit card or other financial information. WhatsGoodApps does not store the credit card or payment information You provide, only confirmation that payment was made.

Changes: We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in legal, regulatory, operational requirements, Our practices, and other factors. Please check this Privacy Policy periodically for updates. If any changes are unacceptable to You, You should cease using the Services. When required under applicable law, We will notify You of changes to this Privacy Policy.

2. Collecting and Using Your Personal Data

2.1 Types of Data Collected

2.1.1 Personal Data

While interacting with the Services, You may provide certain personally identifiable information that could be used to contact or identify You, including:

Your IP address

We may collect and process uploaded images, image file names, file type, file size, image metadata where available, edited or resized versions of uploaded images, and generated QR code images containing uploaded images to provide the functionality You request.

We collect and process User Content to provide the core functionality of the Service, including creating, customizing, saving, displaying, editing, downloading, sharing, tracking, and managing QR codes, QR code destinations, QR code images, embedded images, scan/click analytics, dashboards, reports, and related App functionality.

User Content may be stored persistently within or in connection with the App so that You can access Your QR code history, destination history where supported, uploaded images, generated QR code images, analytics, dashboard data, previous AI prompts and outputs where applicable, and other App content. User Content is intended to be deleted upon deletion of the App, subject to technical limitations, device behavior, backups, legal obligations, service-provider retention, and anonymized or aggregated data uses described in this Policy.

2.1.3 Scan/Click Analytics and Scanner Data

When someone scans a QR code created through the Service, opens a GetQR Ai-generated QR link, or visits a GetQR Ai tracking or redirect link, We may collect limited technical and usage data to route the scan or click, provide analytics to the QR code creator, prevent abuse, maintain security, troubleshoot issues, and operate the Service.

Scan/click analytics and Scanner data may include the QR code scanned or clicked, date and time of the scan or click, IP address, approximate location derived from IP address, device type, browser type, operating system, language or region settings where available, referrer where available, network and request metadata, duplicate scan/click indicators, bot/spam indicators, security signals, and related Usage Data.

Scan/click analytics are intended to provide business and usage insights and may be approximate. They may not identify individual Scanners by name. Analytics may be affected by private browsing, VPNs, ad blockers, device settings, browser restrictions, security scanners, bots, duplicate scans, network routing, Apple or other platform privacy features, scanner app behavior, and other factors.

This Policy applies to limited data collected from Scanners or visitors who interact with QR codes, QR-related links, tracking links, redirect links, or other destinations generated or managed through the Service, even if those Scanners or visitors do not have an account with GetQR Ai and do not use the App directly.

2.1.4 AI-Generated QR Designs and Automated Features

The Service may allow You to submit text prompts, style choices, design preferences, uploaded reference images if supported, or other inputs to generate artistic, image-based, customized, or AI-assisted QR code designs. These features may produce AI-generated QR images, automated design outputs, prompt-based QR code designs, related previews, and other generated results.

We may collect and process AI prompts, style selections, reference images if supported, AI-generated QR code images, automated design outputs, generation history, AI usage counts, AI generation limits, request metadata, and related technical information to provide the requested functionality, maintain history where supported, enforce usage limits, troubleshoot issues, prevent abuse, and improve the Service.

2.1.5 Camera, Photo Library, and File Access

The Service may request access to Your device camera, photo library, file picker, or storage so that You can take a photo, select an image, upload a logo, upload an image, or otherwise submit User Content for use in connection with QR code creation or customization. Such access is used to enable the functionality You request. You may be able to manage camera, photo, and file permissions through Your device settings.

2.1.6 Business, Contact, Link, and Sensitive Information You Choose to Submit

Because GetQR Ai is a QR code creation and tracking app, You may choose to enter business information, campaign information, branding information, contact details, phone numbers, email addresses, destination URLs, uploaded images, or other information. We process the information You choose to submit to provide the Service requested by You, maintain Your history, improve the Service, and otherwise as described in this Policy.

You should avoid entering highly sensitive information unless You are comfortable doing so and have the right to submit it, including passwords, financial account details, government identification numbers, protected health information, regulated data, confidential client information, trade secrets, or information belonging to another person or organization without authorization.

2.1.7 Usage Limits, Free Trials, Subscriptions, and Feature Usage Data

The Service may collect and process information related to Your subscription status, free trial status, purchase confirmation, account status, QR code counts, active QR code limits, scan/click tracking limits, analytics access, dashboard access, uploaded image usage, AI generation counts, feature usage, rate-limit information, abuse-prevention signals, and other usage-limit data. We use this information to provide free and paid features, manage subscription access, enforce usage limits and AI generation limits, prevent abuse, improve the Service, and comply with legal obligations.

The App may offer a 1-week free trial. Trial users may be limited to creating one QR code, and most or some dashboard statistics, scan/click analytics, charts, reports, or related features may be blurred, hidden, limited, or unavailable during the trial. The free trial does not automatically convert into a paid subscription. After a free trial ends, the free QR code, link, destination, contact information, phone number, email function, redirect, or related QR functionality may stop working unless You subscribe, depending on the App’s functionality and settings.

The App may offer monthly and yearly subscription options. Subscription availability, pricing, trial eligibility, feature availability, usage limits, AI generation limits, scan/click tracking limits, analytics history, free features, paid features, and included functionality may vary by platform, country, promotional offer, app version, account status, or other factors, and may change from time to time.

2.1.8 Data Sent to AI Service Providers for AI Processing

GetQR Ai may use third-party artificial intelligence providers, including Google Gemini, OpenAI, or other AI service providers, to help process User Content and generate App results. When You choose to use AI-powered features and give any required in-app permission, the App may send the following information to Google Gemini, OpenAI, or another AI service provider for processing:

Text prompts, style choices, design preferences, uploaded reference images if supported, uploaded logos or images if supported, QR code settings, destination context if relevant, and other information You submit for AI-powered QR design or automated design assistance;

App-generated context needed to provide the requested functionality, such as selected design type, output format, usage-limit information, and related App settings;
Technical request information reasonably necessary to transmit, process, secure, troubleshoot, and return the requested AI output, which may include device, network, or request metadata; and
The generated outputs returned from an AI service provider, such as AI-generated QR code designs, image-based QR code outputs, previews, or other generated design assets.
We do not use Google Gemini, OpenAI, or other AI service providers to identify You, authenticate Your identity, or make legal, financial, employment, compliance, or safety-critical decisions.

The App may present an in-app disclosure and permission request before sending Your submitted User Content or related request data to an AI service provider for AI processing. If You do not give permission, Your submitted information will not be sent to that provider for that analysis, and the App may be unable to generate the requested AI-powered results.

2.2 Use of Your Personal Data

We may use Personal Data for the following purposes:

To provide, maintain, operate, and improve Our Service.
To manage Your account, if accounts are offered or required.

2.7 In-App Permission Before Third-Party AI Processing

Before the App sends Your submitted User Content or related Personal Data to Google Gemini, OpenAI, or another AI service provider for AI-powered processing, the App may present an in-app disclosure explaining that data will be sent to the provider, identifying the types of data sent, and requesting Your permission where required. You may decline the permission request. If You decline, the App will not send that User Content and related request data to that provider for processing, but certain AI-powered features may not be available.

2.8 Retention of Your Personal Data

The Company will retain Your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will retain and use Personal Data to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce Our legal agreements and policies.

We do not guarantee permanent storage, backup, availability, or recoverability of any QR codes, uploaded images, destination URLs, scan/click analytics, AI prompts, AI outputs, history, or other content.

Scan/click analytics and related technical data may be retained for business reporting, dashboard functionality, abuse prevention, fraud prevention, security, troubleshooting, legal compliance, service improvement, and anonymized or aggregated analytics.

Data sent to Google Gemini, OpenAI, or another AI service provider may be processed and retained by that provider in accordance with its applicable business/API terms, data processing terms, security practices, privacy policies, and retention policies, including for service operation, security, abuse monitoring, troubleshooting, and legal compliance. Where provider settings or agreements allow customer control over model training or improvement using identifiable User Content, WhatsGoodApps does not opt in to allow identifiable GetQR Ai User Content to be used to train or improve third-party AI models.

Anonymized and/or aggregated data may be retained and used for analytics, research, algorithm improvement, AI feature improvement, and Service improvement, where such data is not intended to identify You personally.

The Company will also retain Usage Data for internal analysis purposes. Usage Data is generally retained for a shorter period, except when used to strengthen security, enforce usage limits, prevent abuse, improve functionality, or where We are legally required to retain it longer.

2.9 Transfer of Your Personal Data

Your information, including Personal Data, is processed at the Company’s operating offices, by Google Gemini, OpenAI, or other service providers, and in other places where the parties involved in processing are located. This means information may be transferred to and maintained on computers located outside Your state, province, country, or other jurisdiction where data protection laws may differ from those in Your jurisdiction. Your consent to this Privacy Policy followed by submission of such information and any required in-app permission represents Your agreement to that transfer.

The Company will take steps reasonably necessary to ensure Your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy, and no transfer of Personal Data will take place to an organization or country unless adequate controls are in place.

2.10 Security of Your Personal Data

The security of Your Personal Data is important to Us, but no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While We strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect Personal Data, We cannot guarantee absolute security.

3. Children’s Privacy

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13. If You are a parent or guardian and You are aware that Your child has provided Us with personal information, please contact Us. If We become aware that We have collected personal information from anyone under 13 without verification of parental consent, We will take steps to remove that information from Our servers.

If We need to rely on consent as a legal basis for processing Your information, and Your country requires consent from a parent, We may require Your parent’s consent before We collect and use that information.

4. Links to Other Apps or Websites

Our Service may contain links to other apps or websites that are not operated by Us. QR codes, QR-related links, tracking links, redirect links, destination URLs, and other content created through the Service may direct users or Scanners to third-party websites, apps, phone apps, email apps, contact apps, or other third-party services that are not operated by Us. We will strive to let You know via email and/or a prominent notice on Our Service before the change becomes effective and update the Last updated date at the top of this Privacy Policy.

You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for changes. Changes are effective when posted on this page.

6. Supplemental Terms and Conditions for Certain Regions

6.1 Europe

If You are located in the European Economic Area (the EEA), Switzerland, or the United Kingdom (the UK), Our legal basis for collecting and using Personal Data will depend on the Personal Data concerned and the context in which We collect it. We normally collect Personal Data where We have Your consent, where We need the information to perform a contract with You, or where processing is in Our legitimate interests and not overridden by Your rights. In some cases, We may have a legal obligation to collect Personal Data.

Some User Content may be sensitive depending on what You choose to enter, including contact information, business information, campaign information, uploaded images, destination URLs, AI prompts, or other sensitive content. When We collect scan/click analytics from Scanners or visitors in the EEA, Switzerland, or UK, We normally rely on legitimate interests, consent where required, performance of a contract where applicable, or another lawful basis to route scans/clicks, provide analytics, prevent abuse, protect security, and operate the Service.

When We share Personal Data of individuals in the EEA, Switzerland, or UK with Google, OpenAI, or other third parties, We use legal mechanisms to safeguard the transfer, including European Commission-approved standard contractual clauses, data processing terms, and additional safeguards where appropriate.

You may have rights to request access, correction, updates, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability of Your Personal Data. If We process Personal Data with Your consent, You may withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority. To exercise Your rights, contact support@whatsgoodapps.com.

6.2.2 Disclosure to Service Providers

We may disclose Personal Data to Google Gemini, OpenAI, and other service providers for the business purposes described in this Policy. Google, OpenAI, and other service providers process Personal Data on Our behalf and are required to provide the same or equal protection for Personal Data as required by this Policy and applicable law.

6.2.3 Your Rights and Choices

California residents may have rights to know/access, delete, correct, and receive information about collection, use, disclosure, sharing, or sale of personal information, subject to applicable exceptions.

WhatsGoodApps does not sell Your personal information, as defined under the CCPA. If in the future We sell or share Your personal information in a manner that requires an opt-out right, We will provide notice and a method to exercise that right.

We use sensitive personal information, if collected, for purposes reasonably necessary to provide the Service, generate requested App results, route scans/clicks, provide analytics, maintain App functionality, enforce usage limits, prevent abuse, protect security, comply with law, and otherwise as permitted by applicable law.

A verifiable consumer request must provide sufficient information that allows Us to reasonably verify Your identity or authority to make the request and describe Your request with enough detail for Us to understand, evaluate, and respond. We will only use personal information provided in a verifiable consumer request to verify the requestor’s identity or authority.

We endeavor to respond to verifiable consumer requests within the time required by applicable law. If We require more time, We will inform You in writing of the extension period and reason. We do not charge a fee to process or respond to a verifiable consumer request unless permitted by applicable law.
