Dog PP

Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 15, 2026

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) applies to WhatsGoodApps LLC (“WhatsGoodApps,” “We,” “Us,” or “Our”), developer of the Talk To Your Dog app (the “App,” “Service,” or “Services”).

As used in this Policy, “Personal Data” means information that relates to, describes, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with an individual or household.

Definitions: Throughout this Policy, “You” or “Your” means the individual accessing or using the Service. “Company” refers to WhatsGoodApps LLC. “Usage Data” means data generated by use of the Service or the Service infrastructure, such as technical, interaction, security, and diagnostic information. “User Content” includes audio recordings, video recordings, live camera or microphone input, photos, profile images, spoken or typed messages, behavioral context, dog-profile information, feedback, and other materials You submit through the App.

Applicability: This Policy applies to Personal Data processed in connection with Talk To Your Dog, including: (i) audio, video, photos, profile images, camera and microphone inputs, and related User Content; (ii) dog-profile information; (iii) spoken or typed human messages and user-supplied context; (iv) Dog-to-Human analyses, estimated emotional or social signals, explanations, confidence indicators, Human-to-Dog cues, generated barking or dog-inspired audio, history records, and other App outputs; (v) optional feedback regarding analyses or a dog’s response to a generated cue; (vi) purchase and subscription confirmation information; (vii) customer-support communications; (viii) push-notification information, if notifications are enabled; and (ix) information received from service providers or app marketplaces where applicable.

The App is designed to work without requiring You to create an account. We do not require an email address merely to use the App. We may receive Your email address or other contact information if You voluntarily contact customer support or otherwise provide it to Us.

Local and Off-Device Processing: Certain User Content and App data are stored locally on Your device. However, the App may transmit User Content, including raw audio, raw video, voice recordings, selected images or frames, spoken or typed messages, contextual information, or portions or derived forms of such content, to third-party service providers for AI, audio, video, speech, cloud, or related processing. Because the exact technical processing may vary by feature, provider, file type, or App version, You should not assume that all processing occurs solely on Your device.

Changes: We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in legal, regulatory, operational, technical, or business requirements and Our practices. Please review this Policy periodically. If any changes are unacceptable to You, You should cease using the Services. When required by applicable law, We will provide additional notice of material changes.

2. Collecting and Using Your Personal Data

2.1 Types of Data Collected

2.1.1 Information You Provide or Generate

Depending on how You use the Services, We or Our service providers may process:

Contact information You voluntarily provide, such as an email address included in a support request;
Customer-support communications and information You include in them;
Dog names, breeds or mixes, ages, sizes, sex, notes, and other optional dog-profile information;
Dog-profile images, which may depict a dog, another animal, a person, an object, artwork, or other content selected by You;
Audio recordings, video recordings, photos, live camera input, live microphone input, and files You record or upload;
Spoken or typed human messages submitted for creation of Human-to-Dog cues;
Context You provide about what was occurring when a dog vocalized or behaved in a particular way;
Optional feedback about whether an analysis appeared accurate, how a dog reacted to a generated cue, or other corrections and observations;
Generated analyses, cues, explanations, confidence indicators, history entries, and other App outputs;
Subscription status and purchase-confirmation information received from an app marketplace; and
Other information You voluntarily elect to submit.
2.1.2 Audio, Video, Photos, Profile Images, and Other User Content

The Service may allow You to record live audio or video, upload existing audio or video, use Your device camera or microphone, select photos or files, upload a profile image, speak or type a message, and provide related context. User Content may include a dog’s vocalizations and body language, Your voice, other human voices, other animals, people appearing in video or photos, surroundings, homes, personal possessions, conversations, television or music, file or device metadata, and other incidental information captured in or associated with the content.

We process User Content to provide the functionality You request, including analyzing dog vocalizations and available visual information, generating estimated emotional or social interpretations, identifying the broad intent of a human message, generating dog-inspired audio cues, displaying explanations or confidence indicators, creating history entries, and providing personalization based on optional feedback.

Raw audio, video, voice recordings, images, frames, messages, contextual information, or other User Content may be transmitted off Your device to third-party providers for processing. The data actually transmitted may vary depending on the feature, file type, provider, technical implementation, and App version. We do not promise that media metadata, including location metadata, is always removed before transmission. You should remove sensitive or unnecessary metadata and avoid submitting content that includes information You do not want processed.

2.1.3 Dog Profiles and Profile Images

The App may allow You to create one or more dog profiles. A dog profile may include a name, breed or mix, age, size, sex, notes, profile image, associated recordings, analyses, generated cues, feedback, and history.

Profile images are stored locally on Your device and are not intended to be uploaded to Our servers merely because they are used as a profile image. However, a profile image could be transmitted if You separately select or submit it for an analysis or another feature requiring off-device processing.

A profile image does not need to depict a dog. Because it may depict a person, another animal, an object, artwork, or other content, You should upload only images that You have the right and permission to use.

2.1.4 Dog-to-Human Analyses and Human-to-Dog Cues

The App may generate estimated emotional states, arousal levels, needs, contexts, body-language observations, social-signal classifications, simplified “likely meaning” statements, explanations, and confidence indicators from submitted content. The App may also process a spoken or typed message to identify a broad communication intention and generate barking, dog-inspired vocalizations, or other audio cues.

These outputs are automated estimates and generated content, not literal translations of a dog’s words or scientifically established translations of human sentences into a canine language. Outputs may be stored locally on Your device to provide history, replay, personalization, or related App features.

2.1.5 Camera, Microphone, Photo Library, Video Library, and File Access

The App may request permission to access Your device camera, microphone, photo library, video library, or files so that You can record, select, upload, or process User Content. We use permission-based access to enable the feature You request. You can generally manage these permissions through Your device settings. Refusing or revoking permission may prevent certain features from functioning.

The App is not intended to continuously record audio or video in the background without Your interaction. Recording and upload functions are intended to operate when You select or activate the relevant feature, subject to device functionality and permissions.

2.1.6 Spoken Human Messages and Voice Data

When You speak a message into the App, Your voice recording may be transmitted to a third-party provider for speech recognition, natural-language processing, intent detection, cue generation, or related processing. The App is not intended to identify You by Your voice, create a voiceprint, authenticate identity, match Your voice against a database, or perform biometric voice identification.

Speech recognition or transcription may produce errors. A transcript, extracted intent, or other derived information may be processed together with Your original voice recording or instead of it, depending on the feature and technical implementation.

2.1.7 Usage, Device, and Diagnostic Information

The App does not intentionally use third-party advertising, behavioral analytics, attribution, cross-app tracking, or crash-reporting SDKs at this time. However, We, Apple, a future app marketplace, operating-system providers, network providers, or infrastructure and AI service providers may automatically receive limited technical information necessary to deliver, secure, troubleshoot, or process requests, such as IP address, device or operating-system information, request timestamps, file characteristics, subscription status, error information, or security logs.

We do not use cookies for ordinary native-App functionality. If the App displays an external webpage or web-based content, the operator of that webpage may use cookies or similar technologies under its own privacy policy.

2.1.8 Purchases and Subscription Information

Purchases are initially expected to be processed through Apple in-app purchase. We may offer purchases through Google Play in the future. WhatsGoodApps does not directly receive or store the complete payment-card information You provide to Apple or another app marketplace.

We or the App may receive purchase and subscription information such as product identifiers, transaction identifiers, original transaction identifiers, subscription tier, purchase date, renewal status, expiration status, cancellation status, and confirmation that a payment was made. App marketplaces independently process information under their own privacy policies.

2.1.9 Push Notifications

The App may offer optional push notifications, including reminders, feature-related notices, or service messages. If You enable notifications, Apple or another push-notification service may process a device token and delivery-related information necessary to send notifications. You may disable notifications through Your device settings.

2.2 How We Use Personal Data

We may use Personal Data for the following purposes:

To provide, maintain, operate, support, and secure the Service;
To record or upload User Content at Your direction;
To process audio, video, images, voice recordings, spoken or typed messages, and contextual information;
To generate Dog-to-Human analyses, estimated emotional or social signals, explanations, confidence indicators, Human-to-Dog cues, and other requested outputs;
To create and maintain dog profiles and locally stored history;
To personalize Your experience or future results using optional Feedback;
To use optional Feedback to test, evaluate, develop, and improve the Service or its results;
To enable downloads, sharing, replay, deletion, and other App functions;
To verify subscription status, provide paid features, and enforce plan or usage limits;
To send push notifications when enabled;
To respond to support requests and communications;
To detect, investigate, prevent, or address fraud, abuse, security incidents, unlawful activity, or violations of Our terms;
To comply with legal obligations, protect rights and safety, and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims;
To perform internal administrative, business, and operational functions; and
To facilitate a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar business transaction.
2.3 Artificial Intelligence and Automated Processing

The Service may use artificial intelligence, machine learning, audio analysis, speech recognition, natural-language processing, computer vision, video analysis, generative audio, algorithms, and other automated technologies. These technologies may be used to analyze dog vocalizations, visible behavior and body language, human messages, and user-supplied context; estimate broad emotional or social signals; identify communication intent; generate dog-inspired audio; create explanations or confidence indicators; and personalize future outputs based on optional Feedback.

Automated processing may be performed by third-party providers. Depending on the feature and implementation, We may transmit raw audio, raw video, voice recordings, selected images or video frames, transcripts, typed messages, prompts, dog-profile details relevant to a request, contextual information, derived features, Feedback, or other request information to those providers.

WhatsGoodApps does not use raw audio, raw video, voice recordings, profile images, or other raw User Content to train or improve Our own general artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models. Only optional Feedback may be used by WhatsGoodApps to personalize results or improve the Service, unless We obtain additional consent or update this Policy as permitted by law.

We do not direct third-party providers to use Your raw User Content to train general models on Our behalf. However, third-party processing, security logging, retention, and model-use practices may depend on the provider, service configuration, contract, and applicable law. Because provider arrangements may change and exact provider retention periods may not always be known to Us, You should not submit information that You are unwilling to have transmitted and processed off-device.

2.4 No Facial Recognition, Voice Identification, or Human Profiling

The App is not intended to identify or authenticate any person, create facial or voice biometric identifiers, perform facial recognition, create voiceprints, match faces or voices against databases, conduct surveillance, or determine a human user’s identity.

The Service is not intended to infer a person’s mental-health status, emotional state, personality, moral character, trustworthiness, protected characteristics, or legally significant traits. Incidental human voices or images may be processed when they appear in submitted User Content, but the App’s intended function concerns dog vocalizations, dog behavior, human communication intent, and generated dog-inspired cues.

2.5 Feedback, Personalization, and Improvement

The App may ask You to provide optional feedback, such as whether an analysis appeared accurate, how a dog reacted to a generated cue, whether a result category should be corrected, or other observations (“Feedback”). Feedback may be associated with a particular dog profile or local history item to personalize Your experience.

We may use Feedback to evaluate outputs, test or improve algorithms, improve generated cues, develop features, and improve the Service generally. We may aggregate or de-identify Feedback for these purposes. Personalization is experimental and may not necessarily improve future results.

Deleting a related recording, analysis, cue, dog profile, or local history item does not necessarily delete Feedback that was already transmitted to Us or a service provider. You may contact Us to request deletion of Personal Data We control, subject to verification, technical limitations, legal obligations, and applicable exceptions.

2.6 Sharing of Personal Data

We may disclose or make Personal Data available in the following circumstances:

Service providers: We may share Personal Data with providers that perform services for or support the App, including AI processing, audio processing, speech recognition, natural-language processing, computer vision, video processing, generative audio, cloud infrastructure, security, technical support, push notifications, and subscription verification. We seek to use providers that maintain appropriate safeguards and, where contractually available, limit processing to providing services to Us or as otherwise disclosed.
App marketplaces: Apple and, if later supported, Google Play may process purchase, subscription, device, and related information under their own privacy policies.
Business transfers: We may disclose or transfer Personal Data in connection with, or during negotiations of, a merger, financing, sale of Company assets, acquisition, restructuring, bankruptcy, or similar transaction.
With Your direction or consent: We may disclose Personal Data when You direct Us to do so or consent to the disclosure, including when You choose to share or export an Asset.
Legal requirements: We may disclose Personal Data if required by applicable law, regulation, legal process, court order, or valid government request.
Safety, rights, and security: We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property, security, or safety of WhatsGoodApps, users, service providers, a person, or an animal; investigate wrongdoing; enforce Our terms; prevent fraud or abuse; or protect against legal liability.
We do not sell Personal Data for monetary consideration. We do not knowingly share Personal Data for cross-context behavioral advertising and do not use third-party advertising or tracking SDKs at this time.

2.7 User Responsibility for User Content

You should submit only User Content that You have the legal right, permission, and authority to record, upload, transmit, and process. Audio and video may capture other people, private conversations, children, residences, neighbors, copyrighted music or television, other animals, license plates, or other personal or protected information.

You are responsible for complying with applicable audio-recording, video-recording, privacy, publicity, intellectual-property, animal-welfare, and other laws. You should avoid recording or uploading people without required consent and should not submit content involving minors.

You should review recordings and files before submission and avoid including sensitive, confidential, medical, financial, precise-location, or other unnecessary Personal Data. Because We do not know whether metadata is always removed before transmission, You should remove location or other sensitive metadata before uploading when appropriate.

2.8 Local Storage, Retention, and Deletion

Dog profiles, profile images, recorded or uploaded audio and video, analyses, generated cues, history entries, and related App data may be stored locally on Your device. You may be able to delete individual dog profiles, recordings, analyses, cues, and history entries within the App.

Deleting an item from the App is intended to delete the locally stored copy and associated local history, subject to device behavior, caching, backups, technical limitations, and any related data already transmitted off-device. Deleting a dog profile may also delete or disassociate locally stored items connected to that profile, depending on App functionality.

If You delete the App, clear its local storage, lose or reset Your device, replace Your device without transferring App data, or experience data corruption, locally stored dog profiles, profile images, recordings, analyses, cues, and history will be lost. Reinstalling the App may not restore them. WhatsGoodApps does not guarantee backup, synchronization, permanent storage, availability, or recoverability of locally stored content.

Data transmitted to third-party providers for AI or related processing may be temporarily or otherwise retained by those providers for request processing, security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, troubleshooting, or other provider purposes, depending on the provider’s contract, service configuration, technical practices, and applicable law. Deleting an item or deleting the App may not delete copies, logs, or derived information already held by a third-party provider.

WhatsGoodApps may retain Feedback, support communications, purchase or subscription records, security records, legal records, and other Personal Data We control only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, protect security, and enforce Our agreements. Aggregated or de-identified Feedback may be retained where permitted by law.

2.9 International Transfers

Your information may be processed in the United States and other locations where WhatsGoodApps or its service providers operate. Those locations may have data-protection laws different from the laws in Your jurisdiction.

Where required by applicable law, We use or seek to use appropriate safeguards for international transfers, such as contractual protections, adequacy mechanisms, or other legally recognized transfer methods. By using a feature that transmits User Content off-device, You acknowledge that the information may be processed in other jurisdictions, subject to applicable legal requirements.

2.10 Security

The security of Personal Data is important to Us. We and Our service providers use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information and processing. However, no method of transmission, processing, or electronic storage is completely secure, and We cannot guarantee absolute security.

You are responsible for protecting access to Your device. Because App data may be stored locally, anyone with access to Your unlocked device may be able to view dog profiles, recordings, analyses, cues, or history.

2.11 Your Choices and Controls

Depending on App functionality and applicable law, You may be able to:

Decline or revoke camera, microphone, photo, video, file, and notification permissions through device settings;
Delete individual dog profiles, recordings, analyses, generated cues, and history entries in the App;
Stop providing optional Feedback;
Delete the App and its locally stored data;
Manage or cancel subscriptions through the applicable app marketplace; and
Contact Us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of Personal Data We control.
Revoking permission or deleting data may limit or disable certain features. Requests concerning data controlled independently by Apple, Google, or another provider may need to be directed to that provider.

3. Children’s Privacy

The Service is intended only for users who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly permit minors to use the Service or knowingly collect Personal Data directly from anyone under 18 through the App.

You should not submit recordings, videos, photographs, profile images, voice recordings, or other User Content featuring a minor. If You are a parent or legal guardian and believe that a minor’s Personal Data has been submitted through the Service, please contact Us. If We learn that We control Personal Data collected from a minor in violation of applicable law, We will take reasonable steps to delete it, subject to legal requirements and technical limitations.

4. Links and Third-Party Services

The Service may contain links to, rely on, or interact with apps, websites, AI services, cloud services, app marketplaces, or other services that are not operated by Us. Those third parties may process information under their own terms and privacy policies.

We do not control third-party services and are not responsible for their independent content, privacy practices, security, availability, or compliance. We encourage You to review the privacy policies of relevant third parties.

5. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We may notify You of changes by posting the revised Policy in the App, on the applicable page, or through another legally sufficient method. We will update the “Last updated” date at the top of the Policy.

Changes become effective when posted unless a later date is stated or applicable law requires additional notice or consent. You should review this Policy periodically.

6. Supplemental Terms for Certain Regions

6.1 European Economic Area, Switzerland, and United Kingdom

If You are located in the European Economic Area, Switzerland, or the United Kingdom, WhatsGoodApps LLC is the controller of Personal Data that We determine the purposes and means of processing. A third-party service provider may act as Our processor or, depending on its independent practices, as a separate controller.

Our legal bases for processing depend on the information and context and may include:

Performance of a contract: To provide App features You request, generate outputs, verify subscriptions, and operate the Service;
Consent: For permission-based access, optional Feedback, push notifications, or other processing where consent is required;
Legitimate interests: To secure and troubleshoot the Service, prevent abuse, respond to support requests, improve the Service using Feedback, and operate Our business, where those interests are not overridden by Your rights; and
Legal obligations: To comply with applicable law and lawful requests.
Audio, video, voices, images, free-form messages, and contextual information may incidentally contain sensitive or special-category Personal Data. The App does not require You to provide such information, and You should avoid submitting it. Where processing of special-category data requires consent or another legal basis, You represent that You have the necessary authority and consent to submit it.

You may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability; withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; and lodge a complaint with a data-protection authority. Withdrawal of consent does not affect processing lawfully performed before withdrawal. Rights may be subject to exceptions and verification requirements.

To exercise applicable rights, contact support@whatsgoodapps.com.

6.2 California

This section applies to California residents to the extent the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, and related regulations (collectively, “CCPA”) apply to WhatsGoodApps and the relevant processing.

6.2.1 Categories of Personal Information

Depending on how You use the Service, We may collect or process the following CCPA categories during the preceding 12 months:

Identifiers: Such as IP address, device or transaction identifiers, and contact information voluntarily submitted for support;
Commercial information: Such as subscription tier, purchase confirmation, renewal, expiration, or cancellation information;
Internet or electronic-network activity: Such as App interactions, request information, security logs, and technical information processed to provide the Service;
Audio, electronic, visual, or similar information: Such as audio, video, voice recordings, photos, profile images, and camera or microphone input;
User Content and communications: Such as typed messages, behavioral context, Feedback, support communications, and dog-profile information;
Inferences or generated outputs: Such as estimated emotional or social signals, intent classifications, analyses, confidence indicators, and personalized results; and
Sensitive Personal Information: Information incidentally contained in free-form User Content, account or device credentials handled by an app marketplace or operating system, or precise location metadata if present in submitted content.
We use these categories for the business and commercial purposes described in Section 2.2, including providing and securing the Service, processing requested content, generating outputs, verifying subscriptions, responding to support, complying with law, and improving the Service through optional Feedback.

6.2.2 Sources and Recipients

We collect Personal Information from You, Your device, Your use of the App, app marketplaces, and service providers. We may disclose Personal Information to the categories of recipients described in Section 2.6, including AI and technical service providers, app marketplaces, legal or governmental recipients, transaction counterparties, and parties You direct or authorize.

6.2.3 Sale, Sharing, and Sensitive Personal Information

WhatsGoodApps does not sell Personal Information for monetary consideration. We do not knowingly share Personal Information for cross-context behavioral advertising and do not use advertising or tracking SDKs at this time.

We use Sensitive Personal Information, if collected, only for purposes reasonably necessary to provide, secure, and support the Service; process the feature You request; comply with law; or as otherwise permitted by applicable law. We do not use Sensitive Personal Information to infer characteristics about individuals for advertising purposes.

6.2.4 California Privacy Rights

Subject to applicable law and exceptions, California residents may have rights to request that We:

Disclose categories and specific pieces of Personal Information collected;
Disclose sources, purposes, and categories of third parties to whom Personal Information was disclosed;
Delete Personal Information;
Correct inaccurate Personal Information;
Provide certain Personal Information in a portable format; and
Honor applicable rights regarding sale, sharing, or use of Sensitive Personal Information.
We will not unlawfully discriminate against You for exercising applicable privacy rights.

6.2.5 Exercising California Rights

To submit a request, email support@whatsgoodapps.com. We may request information reasonably necessary to verify Your identity, authority, and request. Because the App does not require an account and much App content is stored only on Your device, We may be unable to identify, access, or delete locally stored information on Your behalf. You can delete supported local items through the App or delete the App to remove its local data.

We endeavor to respond within the time required by applicable law. We may deny or limit a request where permitted by law, including when We cannot verify the request, do not control the data, or an exception applies.

6.3 Other U.S. State Privacy Rights

Residents of certain U.S. states may have rights similar to those described above, including rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of Personal Data, and to opt out of certain targeted advertising, sale, or profiling activities. We do not knowingly sell Personal Data or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise applicable rights, contact support@whatsgoodapps.com.

7. Contact Us

If You have questions about this Privacy Policy or would like to exercise a privacy right concerning Personal Data controlled by WhatsGoodApps, contact Us at support@whatsgoodapps.com.
