PART 1 — TERMS OF SERVICE

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using Plane Seats (“App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of the Service

Plane Seats provides aircraft seat-map information, airline and aircraft browsing, flight-related lookup features, traveler tips and seat reviews, and related tools to help users evaluate seats before booking or boarding.

The App may include:
• Seat maps and cabin layout information
• Airline and aircraft directories
• Flight-number or trip matching features when available
• Community Guides (tips, seat reviews, helpful votes)
• Account features via Sign in with Apple or Google
• Locally saved trip history and preferences on your device

3. Eligibility

You must be able to form a binding contract under applicable law to use the App. If you are under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), you may not create an account or submit community content. If you are between 13 and the age of majority where you live, you may use the App only with permission of a parent or guardian where required.

4. Accounts and Sign-In

Certain features (including posting reviews, choosing a username, and community interactions) require an account. You may sign in using Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In, processed through Firebase Authentication.

You agree to:
• Provide accurate information
• Keep your account secure
• Not share your account with others
• Not impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation

You are responsible for activity under your account. Contact us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

5. Usernames and Profile

If you create a username or profile display name, you may not choose names that are offensive, infringing, misleading, or impersonating others. We may reclaim, change, or remove usernames that violate these Terms or our policies.

6. Community Content (Guides, Tips, Reviews)

You may submit content such as seat tips, ratings, text reviews, helpful votes, and related feedback (“User Content”).

By submitting User Content, you grant Plane Seats a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable license to host, store, reproduce, display, distribute, and otherwise use that content in connection with operating, improving, promoting, and providing the App.

You represent that:
• You own or have rights to the content you submit
• Your content is accurate to the best of your knowledge
• Your content does not violate law or any third-party rights

You remain responsible for your User Content. We do not endorse User Content and are not responsible for opinions expressed by users.

We may remove, edit, hide, or refuse User Content at our discretion, including content that is unlawful, abusive, spam, misleading, or otherwise harmful.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:
• Use the App for unlawful purposes
• Harass, threaten, defraud, or abuse others
• Post false, deceptive, or malicious seat information intending to harm others
• Scrape, reverse engineer, or interfere with the App or its infrastructure (except as allowed by law)
• Attempt unauthorized access to accounts, servers, or data
• Use automated bots to post content or manipulate votes
• Upload malware or harmful code
• Infringe intellectual property or privacy rights
• Misuse identity providers (Apple, Google) or Firebase services

8. Seat Maps and Informational Disclaimers

Seat maps, aircraft layouts, amenities, warnings, flight matching, and related information are provided for general informational purposes only.

Airlines frequently change cabin configurations, seat assignments, product names, and aircraft used on a route. Flight-matching and map data may be incomplete, delayed, or incorrect.

Plane Seats does not guarantee:
• That a seat map matches your actual aircraft on the day of travel
• Seat pitch, width, recline, power, IFE, window alignment, or comfort
• Availability, pricing, or booking outcomes with any airline
• That community tips reflect every traveler’s experience

Always confirm critical details with your airline or booking provider. Plane Seats is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any airline unless expressly stated.

9. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, branding, text, graphics, software, and curated seat-map materials (excluding User Content and third-party trademarks), is owned by Plane Seats or its licensors and protected by intellectual property laws.

Airline names, logos, and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used only for identification and informational purposes.

You may not copy, redistribute, sell, or commercially exploit App materials without prior written permission, except for personal, non-commercial use permitted by these Terms or applicable law.

10. Third-Party Services

The App relies on third-party services, which may include:
• Apple (Sign in with Apple, App Store, device services)
• Google (Google Sign-In)
• Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, and related services)
• Network providers and third-party flight or aircraft data sources when used

Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party service outages, policy changes, or failures.

11. Purchases and Subscriptions

If the App offers paid features, subscriptions, or in-app purchases, additional terms may apply at checkout through Apple’s App Store. Payments, billing, refunds, and cancellations for App Store purchases are handled by Apple under Apple’s terms.

12. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time and may delete your account by contacting us (or using in-app account deletion if available).

We may suspend or terminate access to the App or your account if you violate these Terms, create risk or legal exposure, or if we discontinue the service.

Upon termination, rights granted to you under these Terms end, but provisions that by nature should survive (including disclaimers, liability limits, and licenses already granted for User Content) will continue.

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR THAT SEAT-MAP OR COMMUNITY INFORMATION WILL BE ACCURATE OR COMPLETE.

14. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WHATSGOODAPPS LLC AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR TRAVEL-RELATED COSTS ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE APP IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD $50.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

15. Indemnification

You agree to defend and indemnify WhatsGoodApps LLC against claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your User Content, your misuse of the App, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

16. Changes to the Service or Terms

We may update the App and these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the App.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, unless mandatory consumer protections in your country require otherwise.

PART 2 — PRIVACY POLICY

This Privacy Policy explains how Plane Seats (“App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the App.

1. Information We Collect

A. Information you provide
• Account sign-in via Sign in with Apple or Google (we receive account identifiers and related authentication data from those providers / Firebase Auth)
• Username and display name
• Seat tips, reviews, ratings, helpful votes, and other community content you submit
• Profile information you choose to add
• Support or feedback messages you send us

B. Information collected automatically
• Device and app usage data needed to operate the App (for example, crash/diagnostic data if enabled through platform or Firebase services)
• Local app preferences and history stored on your device (for example, onboarding status, viewed aircraft, search counts, and saved trip history via on-device storage such as UserDefaults)
• Basic technical information from network requests to our backend services

C. Information from third parties
• Apple or Google may share limited account information necessary to authenticate you
• Firebase may process authentication and database activity associated with your account

We do not require you to create an account to browse all features of the App; however, community posting and related features require sign-in.

2. How We Use Information

We use information to:
• Provide and operate seat maps, guides, and account features
• Authenticate users and maintain usernames / profiles
• Store and display community tips, reviews, and helpful votes
• Match or retrieve flight/aircraft-related information when you use those features
• Improve reliability, security, and performance of the App
• Prevent abuse, spam, and policy violations
• Respond to support requests
• Comply with legal obligations

3. Community Content and Public Visibility

Content you post in Guides or similar features (tips, reviews, ratings, username, helpful-vote activity associated with public posts) may be visible to other users of the App.

Do not include sensitive personal information in tips or reviews (for example, full booking references tied to your identity, passport numbers, home address, or phone numbers).

4. How We Share Information

We may share information with:
• Service providers that help us operate the App, including Google Firebase (Authentication and Firestore database hosting)
• Apple and Google, as needed for sign-in and App Store distribution
• Authorities when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security
• Successors in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer (with notice where required)

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Data Storage and Security

Account and community data are stored using Firebase services (including Firestore). Local preferences and trip history may remain on your device.

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate for an app of this type. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

6. Data Retention

We retain account and community data for as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide the App, enforce our Terms, resolve disputes, and comply with law.

Local on-device data remains until you delete the App or clear app data.

If you request account deletion, we will delete or de-identify personal account data that we control, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate security/abuse-prevention purposes. Public community posts may need separate handling (deletion, anonymization, or retention of non-identifying content) depending on technical and moderation needs.

7. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information, or to object to certain processing.

You can typically:
• Edit username/profile information in the App (where available)
• Delete or stop posting community content (subject to available in-app controls)
• Sign out of your account
• Delete the App from your device
• Request account/data deletion by contacting us

California residents and users in other regions (including the EEA/UK where applicable) may have additional rights under local law. To exercise rights, contact us using the email below.

If you signed in with Apple or Google, you may also manage permissions through those providers’ account settings.

8. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

9. International Users

Your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers (including Google/Firebase) operate. Those countries may have different data-protection laws than your home country.

10. Third-Party Links and Services

The App may reference third-party brands, links, or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. We are not responsible for third-party practices.

11. Analytics and Diagnostics

If analytics, crash reporting, or similar tools are enabled (including through Apple or Firebase), they may collect limited technical and usage information to help us improve stability. We use this only for app operation and improvement.

12. Push Notifications and Device Permissions

If the App requests optional permissions (notifications, photos for sharing, etc.), they will be used only for the stated feature. You can revoke permissions in iOS Settings.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last Updated” date will change when we do. Continued use of the App after an update means you acknowledge the revised Policy.
